REDFORD - On Wednesday, June 27th, State Senator Glenn Anderson (D-Westland) announced major endorsements of his candidacy for the new 13th Congressional District of the State of Michigan. Senator Anderson was joined by leadership of the Police Officers Association of Michigan, police officers and firefighters from around the district, and supporters as he announced the most recent endorsements of his campaign.
“I am thrilled to be receiving the support of the men and women who protect the citizens of the 13th Congressional District,” said Senator Anderson. “Throughout my legislative career, I have fought on behalf of police officers and firefighters against attacks on their funding and for their right to collectively bargain.”
The campaign announced the endorsements of the Police Officers Association of Michigan, Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, the Melvindale Police Officers Association, the Romulus Police Officers Association, the Dearborn Heights Police Supervisors Association, the Dearborn Heights Fire Fighters Association, the Westland Fire Fighters Association, the Dearborn Heights Police Officers Association, the Melvindale Fire Fighters Association, the Redford Fire Fighters Association, the Redford Police Officers Association, the Westland Lieutenants and Sergeants Association, the Redford Command Officers Association, the Garden City Command Officers Association, the Garden City Police Officers Association, and the Westland Police Officers Association.
